Opens up beautifully with enveloping notes of green artichoke and white almond. There are very clear nods to aromatic herbs that intensify as you continue to taste, evoking fresh flavours of satureja, rosemary and mint. Bitterness and spice are in perfect balance, and they alternate without interruption in the very long, decisive finish.
Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino / DOP-Colli Martani
Moraiolo is one of the most famous and loved types of olives, and it is widespread in central Italy. From these olives we get one of the best oils on the entire Italian peninsula. The extra virgin oil derived from this cultivar has a high content of polyphenols (substances that are beneficial to our health, with potent antioxidant properties that combat free radicals) and is loved for its fruity aroma and the perfect balance between bitter and spicy.
Leccino is a prevalent variety in Italy and it is known abroad as well. The oil has a golden yellow colour with green reflections and is recognised for its excellent quality and fresh taste that is very balanced. Some perceive notes of almond, artichoke and aromatic herbs such as basil and mint. The Leccino plant creates an oil that has a very delicate taste, thanks to its medium-low polyphenol content (which is why the perception of bitter and spicy notes is quite subtle).
